CGreenFund

CGreenFund is in the process of organization.  Watch this web site for further developments.

Here is a description of its goals and proposed plan of operation.

Overall Goal:

The overall goal of CGreenFund is to provide expertise and funding for alternate energy systems.  There are tax incentives for residential and commercial customers, but nonprofit organizations pay no income tax, making these incentives inapplicable.  Yet nonprofits – especially nature and conservation oriented organizations – present a group of organizations that are eager to incorporate alternate energy systems into their operations and programs.  CGreenFund is designed to assist these organizations.

Services to be rendered

CGreen Fund intends to offer free services to qualified nonprofits to assist them in formulating and implementing alternate energy goals.  These include:

In addition, as funds are raised CGreenFund would make direct grants – generally in the form of “challenge” grants to pay for installations to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations

Partnering on Projects

CGreenFund intends to “partner” with 501(c)(3) organizations, obtaining donations in-kind as well as cash donations to finance projects.  In some cases it might be possible for the organization to borrow or to lease the system.  CGreenFund hopes to work with banks, leasing organizations and others in obtaining project financing for nonprofits.
